Engineer by training,
problem-solver by habit.

I grew up between cultures: I'm from Yemen, I spent part of my life in Malaysia, and now I live in Germany. I switch between Arabic, English and German several times a day, and that habit of translating between worlds shows up in my work too: I enjoy connecting hardware and low-level engineering with data, AI and real business problems.

At university I go deep into systems: embedded C, digital hardware, cyber-physical systems, networking, distributed systems and intelligent sensors. At work I bring that thinking into a financial company, where I automate processes, build data pipelines with dbt and PostgreSQL, and bring AI into everyday workflows.

Outside class and work I founded the Eng&Tech Committee for engineering and IT students in Germany, spent four years on the board of VJSD and take part in hackathons, because I learn the most by building things with other people.

  • Process automation: I analyse manual, repetitive workflows and replace them with automated, reliable pipelines.
  • Data engineering with dbt & PostgreSQL: I build and maintain dbt models on a PostgreSQL database, with tests and documentation, so business data arrives clean and ready for analysis.

For four years I served on the board of VJSD, and I chaired Region 7, which covers Hamburg and Schleswig-Holstein. We organised cultural, academic and social events, supported new students arriving in Germany and built a strong community. Together, we won the Best Verein award.
